How Much Does It Cost To Reload Ammo?

Is reloading your own ammunition worth it? Is it cheaper to reload and shoot your own ammo? How much does it save? These questions come to mind when you think about reloading your own ammunition.

The cost to reload one round of ammunition depends on a few factors including the type and caliber of ammunition you intend to reload, the cost of the individual components, whether you plan to use new brass cases or pre-fired cases and the cost of the press, dyes, scales, calipers and other equipent that you will need.

Cost To Reload (January 2012)

Carl,
Thanks for the info. It looks like it is still worthwhile reloading ammo. Here is a quick analysis of current prices.

If my math is correct, we can reload 9mm for about 10 cents each. Cheapest Russian ammo is 18 cents each.

In two years Precision's bullets increased $8 per 1000.

I will also put this on the website so we can refer to it in the future.
