If you reload ammunition with a Lee Four Hole Turret Press w/ Auto Index #90932, the Lee Deluxe Pistol Die Set #90963, the Lee Pro Auto-Disk Powder Measure # 90429 and the Lee Safety Primer #90997 you will need to buy the Auto-Disk Riser #90041. You can't use the Safety Primer without it.

For lots of pictures and installation instructions please see Auto-Disk Riser #90041; Installation Tips.

This dispensing system works great. When I first began to use it, I would check the weight of my charges every ten rounds or so. Since my charge was consistent every time, I began checking it every 25 rounds, then every 50 rounds and so on. Now I just check it when I start reloading for the day and when I stop, no matter how many I do.

The hopper of this system holds plenty of powder, probably enough to load over 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammo. You rotate it left to open the discharge hole on the bottom of the hopper and right to close it after you are done using it.

  1.  the hopper outlet is located directly over a plastic disk which contains several different sized cavities (for different charges).

  2.  the hopper feeds the powder into the disk cavity by gravity feed. These cavities are actually holes with no top or bottom. The bottom is sealed by the underlying surface of the structure. This prevents the powder from going anywhere.

  3.  when the turret is in position, the handle of the press is pulled down, the empty brass case rises up, makes contact with and presses against a spring loaded mechanism that moves the disk over a dispensing hole allowing the powder to drop into the case. The downward movement of the case releases the spring and the disk is repositioned back to it's original position for another load.

  4.  the cavity can never be over-filled as it is always filled to it's maximum capacity. As long as you have good quality powder and keep the system clean it should always dispense the same amount of charge each time it operates.

The system is almost maintenance free. When you want to empty the hopper or change disks for dispensing a different charge all you do is..

  1.  rotate the hopper to the closed position.

  2.  run the dispenser a few times to drain the residual from the mechanism (discharging it into an empty case that you repeated fill then empty three or four times until no more comes out.

  3.  unscrew and remove the two brass knurled screws.

  4.  carefully remove and empty the hopper (place over storage container, rotate to the open position, then close after all the powder has drained out.

  5.  clean as required (just wipe of if needed - use no oil or cleaning agents).

  6.  reassemble and tighten screws snug tight. Do not over-tighten.
