LPS Primer Arm # BP 2889A Installation
(for Lee Classic Turret Press)

How do you install a primer arm into the ram of a Lee Classic Turret press? The instruction manual that comes with the press is not user friendly for the beginner. To make it simple, I have documented the installation process with pictures.

The primer arm is a simple yet critical part of the reloading press. At quick glance it is unclear on just how it works. You have to watch it in operation a few times to figure it out. >>One word of caution when handling the arm, DON'T DROP IT. I dropped it one time and the lip snapped off when it hit the floor making it useless. Also, after you use it for several months you might want to remove and clean it to keep it from sticking. It's easy and only takes a few minutes to do.

Broken LPS Primer Arm

This was the email that I wrote to the Lee Precision Company requesting a replacement.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I recently purchase a Lee Classic Turret Press from MidwayUSA.com and received it a few days ago. I have not used it as yet. When I was installing the LPS Primer Arm # BP 2889A Small 7.00, it slipped out of my hand and dropped two feet to the floor and broke. I was surprised to find that part of the "lip" had snapped off when it hit my wood flooring. Could you please send me a replacement part? Thank you.

Best regards

Response from Lee Precision:
We will send a replacement out to the address you have provided below at no charge.
